No accounts. No tracking cookies. No data sales. No ad networks. We keep a standard web server log for 30 days and that’s it.
Odds Raven ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at oddsraven.com (the "Site") and the public API served from it. We are an independent prediction market aggregator. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use that information, and the rights you have over it.
TL;DR — we do not run user accounts, do not collect personal data, do not use tracking cookies, and do not sell data to anyone. Our server keeps basic request logs for security and debugging. That is essentially the entire policy. The rest of this document explains the details.
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate and secure the Site.
When you visit the Site, our server automatically records:
This is standard web server logging. We use it to detect abuse, debug errors, and measure aggregate traffic volume. We do not attempt to tie log entries to individual identities.
If you email us at hello@oddsraven.com, we will receive whatever you send (your email address, name if included, and message content). We use that information only to respond to you and, if the message warrants it, to investigate data quality or operational issues on the Site.
We want to be specific about this because it's our most meaningful privacy feature.
We use the limited information described in Section 2 for the following purposes:
We do not use any of this information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties. We do not use it to train machine learning models.
The Site does not set tracking cookies. We do not use cookies to identify you across visits.
Your browser may cache static assets (stylesheets, the favicon, the OG image) the same way it caches assets on any website, but no identifying information is stored in your browser by us. We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB for user tracking.
If you disable JavaScript entirely, the Site remains functional — the charts and a few interactive elements will not work, but all data is still visible.
Market images displayed on question cards are hotlinked directly from the respective prediction market platform's CDN (for example, Polymarket's Amazon S3 bucket, Manifold's cover image CDN, Gemini's image host). When your browser renders a card, it makes a direct HTTP request to that third-party CDN to fetch the image. As a result, that third party may log your IP address and user-agent string in connection with the image request. We do not control their logging practices; please consult the respective platform's privacy policy for details.
We chose to hotlink rather than proxy images because it avoids caching third-party content on our infrastructure. The privacy trade-off is that the third-party CDN sees your request. If you would prefer we proxy images instead, let us know and we will consider it.
Every question and market on the Site links out to the source platform. When you click those links you are leaving Odds Raven and entering the third party's domain, which has its own privacy policy and terms we do not control.
The Site loads Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts from Google Fonts, and Chart.js from jsDelivr. These providers may log requests for their own operational purposes. If this concerns you, we can self-host these assets on request.
At the time this policy was written, the Site does not use any analytics service — no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Segment, no tracking pixels. Our only telemetry is the server logs described in Section 2.
If we add analytics in the future, we will use a privacy-preserving provider (for example, Plausible Analytics or a similar cookieless service), we will disclose it here before enabling it, and we will update this policy's effective date.
We explicitly welcome crawling by search engines and AI tools. Our robots.txt permits GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Googlebot, and other well-behaved crawlers to index the Site. We do so because a core goal of Odds Raven is to be the authoritative cross-platform reference cited by search engines and AI systems.
We request that automated crawlers respect reasonable rate limits and identify themselves via a User-Agent string. Aggressive scraping that affects Site availability may be blocked at the network level.
The Site runs over HTTPS in production. Our server is hardened with a firewall (UFW), intrusion prevention (fail2ban), rate limiting, and a read-only database user for the public API. We do not store any sensitive personal information, which is the strongest possible security posture: we cannot leak what we do not have.
No system is perfect. If you believe you have discovered a security issue, please email hello@oddsraven.com with details. We will respond promptly and work in good faith to address it.
The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect personal information at all, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from children. If a child sends us email, we will treat it under the same minimal-retention policy in Section 9.
The Site is operated from infrastructure located in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). By using the Site from outside the EU you understand that your request is processed by servers in the EU. For users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, please see Section 13.3 for your GDPR rights.
The following rights apply to personal information. Because we collect only server logs and voluntary emails, most of these rights have limited practical content in our case, but we list them completely for transparency.
You may ask us what information we have about you. If you email us, we will check our logs and email archives for matches against the identifiers you provide (typically an IP address, email address, or timestamp range) and share what we find.
You may ask us to delete any personal information we hold about you. We will comply unless we are required by law to retain it. Server logs older than 30 days are deleted automatically; you can request earlier deletion.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to any processing of your personal data. You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. Our lawful basis for processing server logs is "legitimate interest" (operating and securing the Site). To exercise any GDPR right, email us.
California residents have the rights to know what personal information is collected, to delete personal information, to correct inaccurate information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any CCPA right, email us.
If your jurisdiction grants additional rights to personal information, we will make good-faith efforts to honor them. Email us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of the page and describe the change in our changelog. Material changes — for example, adding analytics or starting to set cookies — will be announced with at least 14 days' notice before taking effect.
Questions about this policy, requests to exercise your rights, or reports of a privacy concern should be sent to:
We respond to privacy inquiries within 14 days in most cases, and always within 30 days as required by GDPR and CCPA.
